22nd Infantry Regiment Black Sun/Pith Parade Helmet

Late 19^th century 22nd Infantry Regiment Black Sun/Pith Parade Helmet. Body is in solid shape, but is starting to fake apart on the inside due to age. Leather sweat band has detached. Horsehair plum on top and insignia on the front is firmly affixed with not notable damage.  Infantry insignia on the sides is in good shape. Small size. The 22nd regiment was involved in several campaigns in the West and help with the relief efforts during the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake.
