Vietnam Multi-War Highly Decorated US Advisor To ARVN Rangers Direct Embroidered Uniform & Insignia. This is an incerdible set naed to a Col Serge Demyanenko. This group includes his poplin 3rd model jacket. Directly embroidered on it is his Army , senior airborne wings and CIB, on the left. On the right chest is his name, BDQ qualification badge and a 1st pattern West German halo wing. On the collars are his Lt Col rank and his Infantry insignia. On the left sleeve is sewn an emb. on twill Ranger tab. On the right sleeve is a 4th Vietnamese Ranger Group advisors scroll. There is his jungle trousers that have been laundered a few more times then the shirt. Also included is a group of insignia that covers his entire career but the highlights are the BDQ insiginia and a killer Vietnamese made plstic name tag with a mini BDQ patch engraved on it. One of his other uniforms is talked about on the US Militaria Forum. This is an amazing grouping.

Serge Demyanenko retired as a Colonel of Special Forces (Green Berets) after 31 years of service in the Regular U. S. Army. He is also a U.S. Army Ranger and a senior parachutist. The son of a Russian Czarist cavalry officer and a German mother, he was born in Paris, France and now lives in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of U.C. Berkeley, the Armed Forces Staff College, and the National Defense University. He also holds two master's degrees. He served 25 months in combat tours in Vietnam and Korea (DMZ) and on the Department of the Army General Staff working for the Army Chief of Intelligence. He has been awarded 24 decorations by various governments. He is married to the former Katherine Yundong Chey, whom he met at Berkeley. They have two sons; Serge Jr., Yale '81, deceased; and Alex, UCLA '86 who is a television producer.
