The diary begins with him entering the Navy in the fall of 1943 and ends at him leaving the Navy in the spring of 1946. He was on a LST and mentions the Marshall Islands, Philippines and Iwo Jima among other islands. Iwo Jima gets a decent amount of entries. A truly unique piece.
