1940's-1950's 11th Airborne Ike Jacket customized during the Occupation of Japan. The jacket is tagged as 34 Long with 18-inch shoulders and 18-inch sleeves. The uniform features a rare light-blue 187th Airborne regiment on the right shoulder sleeve and the 11th Airborne patch on the left shoulder sleeve. Parachute qualification wings with a trimmed background are pinned to the chest above the false right pocket with a Korean Service Ribbon with 2 campaign stars, a UN Service Ribbon, and a National Defense Ribbon. The jacket was modified to take a massively oversized WWII Japanese military YKK Zipper. The jacket interior is lined with early-WWII white silk parachute material with two interior chest pockets as the exterior pockets have been sewn shut and then flattened. The end of a service number can be found on the skirt of the jacket bear the zipper stop. A truly storied jacket. Bug damage on one of the lapels, but otherwise a great 11th ABN piece.
