WWII US Marine Corps P-38 Painted " Japanese " Towel / Headband. Coarse muslin cotton body. About nine by thirty-eight inches. Stenciled on it is A FIGHTING MARINE A PLAM TREE AND WHAT LOOKS LIKE A P-38 FIGHTER. Then in the center is a Marine emblem with USMC above. To the right is another fighting soldier, Palm tree and some other type of fighter plane. On each end are supposed "Japanese" characters, but when translated they say nothing. Similar to a "Seabeee" signed Japanese flag. No matter what, it looks cool and displays well.
