WWII - Occupation Period General John E Hull Commanding General Army Ground Forces In Pacific Theatre Made Flag. It is roughly fifty by sixty-six inches. Appears to be Philippine made, with the type of embroidery that was used. The background is a heavier silk like material. Has been used and has some minor staining. Interesting history in that he was commander US Army Pacific from 1948-1949, 1951-1953 Vice Chief Of Staff Of the Army and then commander from 1953-1955 he was Commander In Chief of Far East Command. He was credited with having more experience integrating strategy with overseas operations then any other Army officer. Has been stored for awhile and there is some staining in the upper blue area.
