WWII era helmet liner that has been painted with the 49th Infantry Division and 149th Armored Regiment insignia. The insignia was probably added for parade in the 1950’s. The liner is of WWII construction and the shell is sold and strong. The paint is marked and chipped in places. The rim of the liner has cracking but all of the rivets are intact. The webbing and leather is dried out and torn. Some of the metal hardware is rusty. The liner is definitely well worn.
