WWII 502nd Airborne Infantry WIDOW MAKERS 101st Airborne Division Embroidered Captured German Flag. Cotton body. About forty by sixty five inches. Has the political swastika in a white circle at one end and at the other end is a black swastika with white cotton borders. Right below that is a scene with a paratrooper (the details on his jump pockets, jump wings and overseas cap badge are incredible. He is holding hands with two scantily clad ladies. Below that is a large scroll with AIRBORNE embroidered in it. Then there is a large set of jump wings with two battle stars, and a screaming eagle head with 101 on its neck. Below the wings are Free French, French and Belgian flags with 502 below. This is another piece that there is no way for the photos to do it justice. We have owned lots of captured German flags with GI signatures but this is in a totally different ballpark. Has been folded but still in great shape.
