WACO CG-4A Glider Deceleration Parachute Still In The Box

Unissued WWII deceleration parachute for the American Waco Gliders. The parachute comes in the original box. The chute is a model number 44G5496 and is April 16, 1945 dated. The parachute itself is in super clean condition and doesn’t appear to have ever been unrolled. The silk parachute and OD Canvas pack are in excellent condition. The chutes were designed to attach to the tail of the glider to slow its decent when landing. The box is worn from storage with some staining and one of the flaps has torn off from the box. The shipping and packing labels are still readable, though are partially torn off.
