WWII Homefront Women's Ambulance & Transportation Corps Of California Uniform. Four pocket khaki twill uniform. Has black US army type uniform buttons. On the collars are jeweler made WATCC collar devices. On the left slevve is a machine embroidered on twill spoked cross pin. On the epaulettes are what looks like acadet captain ranks, but were obviously used differently for this organization. Also included is a long twill kahki skirt and a lightweight khaki long sleeve shirt. Was told this outfit was made at Desmond's which was a famous Los Angeles department store that made a lot of WWII officers uniforms. This uniform was photographed in Jill Smith's book on page 486, but at the time was unidentified. What a great and rare WWII women's homefront organization item. Has been used but still in great shape.
