Incredible Shpboard Made Metal S-1 Submarine Model & Carrying Case

Incredible Pre-WWII Shipboard Made Metal S-1 Submarine Model. The model itself is twenty-seven inches long by seven inches tall. All hand worked metal. Has opening and closing hatches on the deck.There are mini chains and wires running along the sides and the towers. A couple of wires on the top have come loose but could be easily fixed. Hand painted finish. Not sure what the metal itself is, but was made in the metal shop of ship. The submarine then sits on a wooden base that is wedged into the handmade wooden shipping box it was sent home in. On top of the wooden box is a shipping label from a sailor on the USS Lexington, and various Western Express shipping labels. We have owned this piece for a number of years and has sat on a shelf gathering dust, which I will try and clean off before we ship, because it is so unique we had to keep it for awhile. This is a great conversation piece, and would look killer in any collection. The case and sub are heavy so don't be shocked when we give you the postage fees.
