Japanese Army Guerilla Warfare Mogami Company Identified Grouping. This is a cool group. The badge is about a inch in diameter, and has a silver colored finish. On the front, roughly translated is SHOWA 14 (1939) TO SHOWA 15 (1940) THE GREAT SUBDUING GUERILLA WARFARE. TOKUHIRO PUNITIVE FORCE NORTH AREA CHINA. The reverse shows all the areas the unit worked through. Included is a two page letter describing the medal and a short handwritten letter that is addressed to a Mr Hiroaki Takagi, Mogami Company, dated July 8th Showa 15th. Has a note that it was given to all the soldiers that fought the guerillas last September. Also has the original fitted wooden box for the medal. This is a killer piece. Doubt we will ever find another one.
