MAAG / Military Advisory & Assistance Group Vietnam Executive Officers Shirt. Wow, where to start, one of the earliest units of Americans to go in-country. This is a long sleeve cotton khaki shirt, that is well starched. On the left sleeve is a Vietnamese chain stitched MAAG VIETNAM tab with a standard embroidered MAAG shoulder patch below. On the right sleeve is a od border 1st Cavalry division patch. On the collars are embroidered infantry officers insignia dn a bullion colonels rank eagle. Inside the neck is stamped WARD in numerous locations. Col. War was Hanging Sam William's xo of MAAG Vietnam and was there in either 1957 or 58. Amazing to find anything to any of the commanders of this super early US involvement in Vietnam.
