11th Bombardment 14th Air Force Decorated Pith Helmet

WWII - Late 1940's Army Air Forces 11th Bombardment 14th Air Force Decorated Pith helmet. Standard khaki covered cork (?) body. On the front is painted a winged star emblem. Below that are painted 25 bombs for 25 missions. On the right side is a likeness of a CBI patch with 11TH BOMBARDMENT. On the right side is a winged tiger with KUNMING - CHINA below. On the top where the know is, some of the khaki material is worn away. Inside is a lable with the vets name printed on it. Inside is an issue stamp that is dated 31 DECEMBER 194 and the last number is marked out as it looks like there was a thrift shop price written in at one time. Medium size. Has been used and worn, but still a really cool piece.
